The year 2025 basically flew by fast, but none the less, it has been an amazing year for my photography and developement as a photographer.

The year kicked off with an amazing trip to Lisbon, really focused on photography for the first time during a trip abroad. Since then every day off work has been dedicated for a big part to photography. I started to realise that living in Belgium, many big cities are within a 2 hour driving distance by either car or train. Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Aachen… The list is too long to mention them all. But I sure benefited from realizing this.

In the 2nd half of the year, I went to Italy for a week, Pisa, Florence and Bologna. To me Bologna was for pure photography the most enjoyable city of the 3, less packed with tourists, beautiful portico’s and amazing food. It’s definitely on my list of places to return to.

This year was also a year where I got to meet some amazing people through this hobby, both in real life and online. Some really became an inspiration and helped me improve my photography.

For 2026, I hope to experience more of this and definitely meet some in person.
